Summer Forest School activities for children and young people
The Plas Derw Trust are running Forest School activities during the summer holidays for three age groups: 10-13 years; 14-16 years; and 17-19 years – for FREE.
The activities will take place every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the summer holidays in the Woods at the Welsh College of Horticulture, Northop between 10am – 2.30pm.
There will be chance for young people to have loads of fun, be creative and learn new skills such as lighting and managing fires and safe tool use, cooking on a campfire, building shelters and learning about the woodland and our environment.
In addition, the Plas Derw Trust have also organised a ‘Kids Club in the Woods’ (for children aged 7-10 years), to take place on the following Tuesdays: 29th July, 5th and 12th August between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm. However, there is a cost to attend this scheme - £20 per day per child.
