Sport, Leisure & Recreation

There are lots of things going on in your local area for you to get involved with so whatever you're interested in, from sports, walking, gardening or fishing, why not search our Online Database to find out about activities, societies, clubs near you.

Leisure Services at Flintshire County Council can also tell you about different places you can go to to join in with sports activities and tell you what's going on in the county. You can call their Sports Development department on 01352 702463 or the Play Development department on 01352 702456.

Forums
A great way of getting involved in what happens in your community and getting your voice heard by the people that matter is to join a forum, which is just a group of people who meet to discuss issues that are important to them.

Flintshire has a County Youth Forum for 11-25 year olds called FYF that meets regularly to talk about issues that affect young people living in the county. Anybody is welcome to join so if you would like more information you can call the Youth Forum Worker on 01352 771232 or download the FYF Leaflet.

Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, get work experience and develop new skills.

You can find out more about the volunteering opportunities that are available for young people in Flintshire by visiting the Flintshire Funky Vols website, which has been designed and created by a team of young volunteers.
