Computers in Libraries
Computers for public use are available in most libraries in Flintshire. Computers may be booked for half hour sessions, which may be extended if nobody else needs to use it. Using the computers is free, but there is a small charge for printouts. Computers are available for use by all adults and children (with parental consent). If you are not a member of a Flintshire Library, on your first visit you will need to provide proof of identity and address before using the PCs.

In addition to the usual word processing and other office applications, computers may also be used to access the Internet, send emails and explore CD-ROMs. Larger libraries also have scanners available for public use. Library staff have been IT trained in case you need any help while you’re there. The staff will also be able to give you information on computer training courses.

If you have special needs for accessing the computers, please let us know and we will be able to help you.

You can also bring your own laptop to the Libraries if you would just like a quiet place to work.

Youth Service
Many Youth Clubs provide access to computers and the Internet during Youth Service hours. Check with your local youth club workers.
