Competition - Raw Deal or Truth Told?

’Raw Deal or Truth Told? Young people in the media’ is a competition being organised by the House of Lords and the Hansard Society. They are looking for the views of young people aged 11-16 on the way that they feel they are treated by the media. Entries can be submitted in a range of media, including an article, presentation, audio recording, video, presentation or interview.

All entries will be submitted to the Lords Communications Committee. Winners will be invited to discuss their ideas with the Lord Speaker and have a tour of the House of Lords. The organisers will also produce a report from all the entries on the views of the young people.

The negative image of young people in the press has been raised as an issue by Flintshire young people. The closing date for the competition is the 5pm on Friday 5 June, 2009. For more information about the competition please visit this webpage.
