Bullying

If you are being bullied you should always try to tell somebody that you trust like your parents, a teacher or another adult so that they can try their best to help to make the bullying STOP. It is important to know who you can turn to for help.

If you feel like you can't talk to anyone at home or at school, or you already have and the problem isn't getting any better then don't give up. Your school should have a person who deals with bullying issues so ask your Headteacher who this is. Most schools have an Education Social Worker (ESW) who can help you to sort out problems with bullies and Flintshire's Education Department can help you find out who the ESW is in your school so call them on 01352 704012.

For more advice about how to deal with bullying visit Bullying Online. You can email them at any time for information and support.

Bullying doesn't just happen to children in schools and people often experience bullying in the workplace as adults. If you are being bullied at work then don't feel embarassed - make sure that you tell somebody who you trust what is happening. Your bully can be disciplined and given a warning about their behaviour - they could even lose their job if the bullying doesn't stop.

Unions
If you feel that you can't speak to anybody at work then contact somebody at your union. They will be able to offer you support and advice about the best way to deal with your bullying problem. Visit the Unison website to find out more about the benefits of being a member of a union at work.
