30th July 2008 - Young People invited to the next Young Peoples Partnership Meeting
Over the past year, young people have been invited to attend Young People’s Partnership Evening Meetings. The Young People’s Partnership is a group of people from different services, who work to try and make things better for young people in Flintshire.
In March 2008, a County Youth Conference was held, led by the Flintshire Youth Forum. The Forum asked those who came to raise issues that were important to them. These issues were then discussed further in workshops throughout the day.
These issues included:
Parent / Carer support Issues
Better Youth Services for young people
Education
Skate Parks and Parks
Access to Services
Environment
Transport
Homelessness
Public Activities
Better Advertisement of Services
Tackling Racism and other issues
Financial Issues.
WE NEED YOU!
The Young People’s Partnership would like to invite local young people (aged 11 - 25) to attend their next meeting to look at some of these issues a bit further, and to work with them to find solutions and ways to move forward.
